Title: Sales Associate – Orthotic Fitter

Objective

The Sales Associate will be responsible for applying durable medical equipment to patients for pre-operative and post-operative surgeries. The sales associate will work directly with Orthopedic Surgeons and medical personnel to ensure the well-being of patients and their activities of daily living.

Key Functions

  • Perform initial and follow up sales calls on prospective and current clients
  • Recommend products to clients, based on customers’ needs and interests
  • Conduct “Product” in-services to current clients as needed
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
  • Provide clients with product samples and catalogs
  • Prepare estimates and bids that meet specific clients’ needs
  • Able to articulate the features and benefits of all product lines
  • Develop sales plan according to the objectives of the company

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to fit a patient and make necessary modifications
  • Knowledge of the use and care of the products
  • Knowledge of equipment usage and maintenance
  • Knowledge of infection control, patients right and responsibilities, Patient Care Plan, and advance directives policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and be confident in work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Athletic Training or similar field
  • Experience working with patients
